Kent County has one of the best kayaking programs in the state. We practice 2 evenings per week (weather permitting) from May through August. Washington College in Chestertown generously allows us to store our kayaks and equipment and base our practices at the Hodson Boathouse, making practices easy and efficient.
Our founding Coach, Jack Brosius, was an Olympic Kayaker in his younger days and brings all of his knowledge and enthusiasm to our team.
Athletes of all levels are invited to join us. If you’ve never kayaked before, you can learn. We always need volunteers for this program and it’s a great opportunity to spend an evening on the beautiful Chester River.
